HVAC Service Tech

Job Description Summary:

Performs, maintenance, modification, overhaul, service, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment by performing the following duties:

Responsibilities:

1. Performs service and repairs on all HVAC, refrigeration, and control systems
2. Responsible for a company work vehicle, parts inventory and equipment assigned to the company work vehicle. *Technician has complete responsibility for vehicle
3. Replaces electrical components such as compressors, contactors, motor starters; relays and diagnoses any electrical or mechanical components to which these are related
4. Occasionally, changes out gas and oil furnaces and split air conditioning systems, and installs ductless air conditioning and heat pumps, sheet metal installation and transitions, refrigeration, condensate, and PVC venting
5. Procures all material in a timely manner to meet client service level agreements for scheduled completion date.
6. Promotes and sells new HVAC product by observing customer’s equipment and through inquiries of customer
7. Learns the company service price book to efficiently provide quotes to customer while minimizing lost sales opportunities
8. Prepares customer invoicing and maintains customer information in database
9. Possesses competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and housed on company vehicle
10. Responds immediately to emergency situations and customer concerns.
11. Understands the company policy is to provide 100% customer satisfaction by exceeding customer expectations
12. Performs all work to industry standards and always maintains a professional manner and appearance.
13. Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives as related to building operations and practices safe work habits
14. Performs any other job duties as assigned

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

1. Work Experience: Two (2) years HVAC Service Technician work experience
2. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent education
3. Computer Skills: Basic Microsoft Office skills
4. Organization Skills: Strong organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
5. Cross-functional skills: Team player (works well with others)
6. Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with team members and customers

The associate may work on roofs, tight confines, in attics, basements, and crawl spaces.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low. The associate may work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

1. Experience: Associates degree
2. Certificate/licenses: climate control certificate in HVAC
3. Computer Skills: Service Titan experience
